AN FN AWESOME WEBSITE
FN America is the subsidiary of the historic FN Herstal, known for firearms such as the FN FAL, P90, M249 SAW, and SCAR. FN prides itself on its legacy of trust and reliability. Law Enforcement uses many of FN's products, but they had a desire to make both their products and their site more accessible to consumers. They came to us at Epic Marketing for a refresh that made their site cool, easy to follow, and an engaging shopping experience that tailored to any unique customer's needs.
I was responsible for coming up with some of the early design options for key pages, with features that ended up being used in the final design.
We successfully pitched client on a pull-apart feature where as the customer scrolls on the product Series page, the product would disassemble. This animation would end on the final frame, and hotspots would appear where the customer could click on each of the highlighted features of that product!
After we received approval on my test animations, I sent my animation to our contracted 3D animator to build out the full things!
Changes in Epic Marketing led to me being brought on as the Lead Designer, where I then worked directly with the Lead Developer in creating further mockups, building out pages, and populating the massive library of specs and content FN had. I built a thorough spreadsheet with checklist and dropdown functionalities to help keep the content population team organized.
LEGACY
In Spring of 2026, FN America was purchased and our work on the full website redesign was shelved. However, many of the features and functionalities are in the process of being brought to the current site.
